Denice Craig Tweedy draws her inspiration from nature, sharing her passion for color, light, and shadow through the use of watercolors and batik. 

Batik originated from the island of Java, Indonesia and involves the repetitive process of wax-resist dyeing applied to the whole cloth.

To view her artwork in its most colorful state, Denice attaches her paintings to canvas and treats them with artist grade varnish to render them dust and water resistant.
