This serigraph (hand-pulled silkscreen) image was originally drawn in pen & ink as two separate images of a sea shell and a piece of coral, using a stipple effect for shading.

The original drawings were copied onto transparent film (commonly used to project overheads). Those copies were arranged into the final shape and printed in three different colors (one silk-screen per water-based ink color) overlaid from the lightest color to the darkest color.

An edition of 25 was printed. All screens were destroyed and will not be recreated.
