Three Birches by Carol Reynolds

Carol recently discovered a technique called “new hand stitching” while reading Claire Wellesley-Smith’s book, Slow Stitch. Fascinated by the idea of slow stitch and sustainability, Carol began working with cloth, thread, and photo transfers – cutting, ripping, sewing, dying, and painting fabrics. She achieves depth in her textile art by layering with transparent and translucent materials.

Fran’s  art exhibit is available for viewing at this location May – July 2024.
